We are an independent Nottingham based prostate cancer and self-help charity, established in 2012, with the help of B’ME Against Cancer.

Summary

For men who have, or have experienced Prostate Cancer and for those who have been recently diagnosed, in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Offers a chance to share experiences and advice confidentially, whilst providing emotional support for those who have had traumatic experiences.

The group has professional links with the Urology department, at the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, and with BME Cancer Communities, GMB Union, Unite Union, John Van Geest Cancer Research Centre and Nottingham Trent University, Nottingham Hospitals Charity.

Opening times

2nd Wednesday every month from 6pm to 8pm

GMB Union, 542 Woodborough Road, Nottingham NG3 5FJ.

The meeting is open to everyone but targets BME (but not exclusively) men, as they are twice as likely to be diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.

The meetings are free and confidentiality is one of the conditions whilst attending.
