Summary

Vale of Belvoir Memory Cafe is aimed at people diagnosed with early stages of dementia and their carers.

Based in Cotgrave, the group is aimed at people in Radcliffe, Bingham, East Bridgford, Cotgrave, Cropwell and surrounding villages.

People are encouraged to attend the full 2 hours who would benefit from light relief once a month. The memory cafe is a structured two hours for people suffering memory problems and their helpers to enjoy some nostalgic activities to stimulate conversation and participation. For the Cafe to be effective it is aimed at those who are still capable of an understanding of what is going on so they can engage and participate (helped by their support) with the activities taking place, (this is not a drop off centre).
