Macmillan Professionals Conference 2024
We were honoured to attend the Macmillan Professionals Conference in Wales earlier this month. The conference enables healthcare professionals from across the UK to connect, learn, and grow. It provides opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing, and skill development through sessions and workshops. The conference also recognises and celebrates excellence in cancer care through the Macmillan Professionals Excellence Awards. We’re proud to have been finalists in our category for Innovation. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.
NEW Deaf Lottery UK
Deaf Lottery UK is an exciting weekly lottery that raises money for Deaf organisations in the UK. All the organisations included in the Deaf lottery support Deaf and hard of hearing people in the UK.
Play the lottery, support our Deaf Cancer Support Project and other Deaf organisations in the UK – it’s that simple!
- Tickets cost just £1 a week. Each ticket has a 1 in 50 chance to win a prize each week, with a top prize of £25,000! There’s a better chance of winning the jackpot than the National Lottery or the Health Lottery.
- A weekly draw takes place every Saturday night. Match all 6 numbers and you win the JACKPOT!
- From every £1 ticket you buy, 60p will go to Deaf organisations in the UK and improving our community. You can choose which organisation gets 50% of your ticket price. 10% will automatically go to support the work of Action Deafness.
Help give our fundraising a boost – join today to enter this Saturdays draw!

Deaf Cancer Support team on tour!
Our team recently visited Scotland, in partnership with the British Deaf Association (BDA). We were raising awareness of our vital services and exploring the possibility of establishing a Peer Support Hub in the region. Susan and Veronica visited various locations across Scotland, engaging with the Deaf community through presentations, workshops, and informal discussions. The warm reception and enthusiastic response from the Deaf community were overwhelming, with positive feedback from both the Deaf community and the BDA. The team is now looking forward to future collaborations and opportunities to support the Scottish Deaf community. Are you interested in setting up a Peer Support Hub near you? Please contact us to find out more.
